Top 6 reasons to upgrade to Cloud HCM 20A

Oracle has started sending communication for first major update of this year for HCM Cloud, i.e., Release 20A.

Below are the top 6 features that impressed SOAIS team and are excellent reasons for customers to upgrade:

1.     DISABILITY SELF-DISCLOSURE

This feature was in high demand and now employees will able to self-disclose their disabilities and upload their disability certificates. This information can be used by HR to make workplace adjustments, and for further analysis and reporting.

Previously it was solely HR’s job to declare employees’ disabilities in application. It was enabled for some of the countries in some previous releases but for India it will be enabled from this release onwards.

2.     NOTIFICATIONS SUPPORT IN ROLE DELEGATION

User will get notified of Role delegation with notifications. If this feature is enabled, a notification will be sent when a role delegation is successfully created.

For example, when an employee (Delegator) creates a delegation (Self-Service), a notification is sent to the user defined as the Proxy (Delegate To). When an HR Administrator creates a delegation (On-Behalf of), a notification is sent to both the selected person on behalf of whom the delegation was created (Delegator), and the user defined as the Proxy (Delegate To).

3.     CREATE SANDBOXES FOR TESTING ONLY

From release 20A onwards, using unified Sandboxes feature, we can now also create sandboxes for testing purposes only. While creating sandboxes, if Publishable field is set to No, such sandboxes can never be published.

4.     SEND CHECKLIST NOTIFICATIONS TO WORKER’S HOME EMAIL

Now checklist email notifications can be sent to home email, in addition to work email, for pending workers and terminated workers. Notification is sent to the home email only if the worker does not have an active primary employee or contingent worker assignment with the enterprise as of the date the checklist task is allocated.

5.     USER EXPERIENCE:

User satisfaction has been increased with the redesigned pages that now have the same look   and feel on desktop and mobile devices. These redesigned pages are both responsive and easy                 to use on any device. Below are list of few such commonly used pages that are redesigned for enhancing the user experience.
