Goal Management

Goal Management enables the setting and tracking of goals across the various levels of an organization, supporting an ongoing performance conversation throughout the year. Business leaders communicate high level initiatives, and managers and employees can collaborate to set goals that align to the organization’s direction. Personal development plans are delivered to allow employees to track their personal growth and career development.

As an integral part of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM), Oracle Fusion Goal Management (Goal Management) provides organizations a best-in-class solution to track and manage organizational and individual goals and closely align them with the overall talent management process.

Collaboration amongst employees is fostered by goal sharing and the ability to collaborate on goals in the enterprise social network. Goal Management seamlessly integrates with Oracle Fusion Performance Management to enable a point-in-time evaluation of goal achievement.

Goal Management Setup

The tasks in the following list relate to the setup of goal management. These are the basic steps for setup. Most of these tasks appear in the setup task list that was generated in the Setup and Maintenance work area; however, in your task list the tasks may be interspersed with other tasks that don’t need to be performed before you can use goal management.

Manage worker goal setting profile option values.

Creating Goal Plans:-

Goal plans are a collection of performance goals grouped by common characteristics. For example, a specified time frame and a particular department that must work on them. Depending on security privileges assigned to your role, you can create goal plans.

Manage Goal Plans:-

You can do these actions:

  • Edit a goal plan.
  • Delete a goal plan.
  • Change the status of an existing goal plan to inactive.

Managing Goal Plan Sets

Goal plan sets are one or more goal plans that you assign as a group to a population set. For example, group all goal plans intended for an upcoming salary review period in a goal plan set and assign the set to workers involved in the review.

These are the advantages of using goal plan sets:

  • You can group goal plans to evaluate the overall progress and performance of a worker.
  • You can assign specific goal plans with relative weights to a specific population.

HCM Benefits is a configurable and flexible global product that enables organizations to evolve and adapt to the unique needs of their workforce and is an integral part of any total compensation package. Benefits can deliver traditional ‘one-size fits all’ plans and highly complex plans that selectively target different segments of the workforce with different benefit packages. It supports the cafeteria style of choosing benefits as well as flex credits if required. Benefits self-service presents the employee with an intuitive process that guides them through selection of their eligible benefits. Employees can review and update their contacts as part of the enrollment guided process and also select dependents and beneficiaries in a separate step at the end of the enrollment process.
