Core Connectors

Workday connectors:

Workday being the core system of record of many companies, there is a need for connecting with many other third-party systems and applications for key business functions and processes. Workday provides a wide range of products for this purpose amongst which the Workday Integration Cloud Platform is the prominent one.The Integrations cloud connect solutions fall under two categories they are:

  • Packaged integrations
  • Core Connectors

Packaged Integrations:

The packaged integrations provide end to end integration with any third-party applications or services. When packaged integrations are deployed the specific business functionalities can be configured without any additional codes. Hence, it is called delivered connectors.

Connectors:

The core connector is very generic and requires coding to meet the vendor specific requirements like file format and it is not end-to-end like packaged integrations connectors address to most of the integration effort required to third party end points. But packaged connector is a pre-built integration template. While this helps to ensures that external systems receive only the data you want to expose.
