Certify Web Interface Options

Certify web interface execution and Live touch engine are being configured using the web interface options.  By configuring web options users can learn configurations and extensibility Framework (XF) class definitions while performing live touch and process execution.

Configuring Web Interface Options:

Basically, web interface options can be configured through the below mentioned settings.

  • User Settings
  • Global Settings
Global settings

Configuring Global Settings:

By configuring the global settings, User can configure and changethe global web interface settingswhich would get updated for All users.

Note: You must have administrator privileges to update the settings.

Global Settings Navigation:

  1. Log on to Worksoft Certify
  2. Navigate to Web Interface Options
    • Select Tools >>Configure>>Web Options
  3. Select the Global Settings Tab

Selecting Options listed underGlobal Settings Tab:

  • Settings – All Users: Under this section the Admin can change the below options:
    • Default Execution Engine
    • Scroll Into View
    • Input Option
  • Execution Engine: Select the execution engine from the one specified in the Global Settings tab.
    • Internet Explorer: Default Execution Engine
    • Cross Browser: Execution Engine used to support execution on different web
  • Scroll Into View: Select the available web scroll view options listed below.
    • Top
    • Middle
    • Bottom
    • Off
  • Input Option: Select the available input option listed below.
    • Set Value
    • Send keys
  • Enable Cross Browser Live Touch: Check/ Uncheck this option to Enable or Disable cross Browser Live touch settings for All users.

  • Definitions/ Configurations Tab: For using definition or configuration files, they must first be imported into Certify with the Certify Web Interface Options tool.

From the Definations/Confurigrationstab in the Certify Web Interface Options tool, we can perform the following tasks with both XF Definitions files and Configuration files by clicking on the appropriate buttons:

  • Import an XML file
    • Export an XML file
    • Create a new file
    • Create a new file with the Save As function
    • Delete a file
    • Rename a file
    • Set a file as default

Configuring User settings:

By configuring the user settings, User can configure their own web interface settings that get’s updated for the user.

User Settings Navigation:

  1. Log on to Worksoft Certify
  2. Navigate to Web Interface Options
    • Select Tools >>Configure>>Web Options
  3. Select the User Settings Tab

Selecting Options listed under User Settings Tab:

  • Configurations: Select the Definition’s updated in the database.

Note:  By selecting the configurations, it overrides the configuration selected in the global settings.

  • Definitions: Select different XF definitions from the definition’s updated in the global setting tab.
  • Execution Engine: Select the execution engine from the one specified in the Global Settings tab.
    • Internet Explorer: Default Execution Engine
    • Cross Browser: Execution Engine used to support execution on different web browsers with Worksoft certify Extension. (Google chrome, Firefox)
  • Cross Browser Live Touch: Select True to enable or False if you don’t want the enable the feature.
  • Scroll Into View: Select the available view options listed below.
    • -Use Global Setting-
    • Top
    • Middle
    • Bottom
    • Off
  • Input Option: Select the available input option listed below.
    • -Use Global Setting-
    • Set Value
    • Send keys
  • Click on Close to Save the user defined Settings.

Remove User Defaults:

  • Select the User default setting and Press Delete Selected User Defaults to remove user defaults.
